Binding Services
Binding is completely optional, many quilters love to bind their own quilts!
If that ISN’T you, we offer two options for binding services.
This is the first step in the binding process. Your strips are sewn to the front of your finished, trimmed quilt and left for you to finish by hand or machine at home. This gets you started and makes the whole finishing process less daunting!
1. Attach binding to the top of your quilt
The whole package! This means your quilt is returned 100% finished and ready to be loved. We love hand binding because it finishes the quilt seamlessly, no stitching can be seen on either side.
2. Attach and finish it by hand
1. Attach binding to the top of your quilt - $0.10/linear inch
2. Attach and finish it by hand - $0.30/linear inch
To estimate the cost of binding, add up the length + width of your quilt (in inches) and multiply by 2. Then multiply by the cost of your chosen service.
Attaching the binding onto a quilt measuring 50”x70” would cost:
50 + 70 = 120 x 2 = 240 x $0.10 = $24 (plus hst)

Sounds like your thing? When you fill out a quilt form, simply select the binding service you’re interested in. If you are looking for binding services ONLY (no longarm quilting) just let us know in the notes section.
When you drop off or mail your quilt, please include either finished binding strips or enough yardage of your chosen fabric. There is a $10 charge to make up binding from yardage.
Please keep in mind that binding services may increase the turnaround time for your quilt. As always, let us know if you have a specific deadline.
